Getting Worse
American and United airlines are cutting 32,000 jobs as a federal prohibition on layoffs in the industry expires with no stimulus safety net in sight. This news comes after yesterday announcement that Disney will layoff 28,000 US employees. Months ago Democrats passed a 3.2 trillion dollar aid package in the House. But, the Republican lead Senate has refused to act. Only offering a 1.2 trillion package primarily for big business.

The Commission on Presidential Debates says it will make changes to the format of the remaining presidential debates to “ensure a more orderly discussion” after Tuesday night’s event devolved into chaos. However, the President says he may not participate if it involves the possibility of his mic being cut off for interrupting.

Covid in the NFL
Good news bad news in sports. First the LA Lakers topped the Miami Heat in game one of the NBA finals. The Tampa Bay Rays beat the Toronto blue Jays 8 – 2. The Rays and the Yankees advance and will meet next Monday. In the NFL the Steelers-Titans game that was set for this Sunday is being postponed after a number of positive COVID-19 tests on the Tennessee Titans team.
