President Trump and first lady Melania Trump have tested positive for Covid-19. The Presidents diagnosis is the most serious known health threat to a sitting president in decades. The President is showing mild, cold-like symptoms of the virus. Hope Hicks, a senior aide and the closest known person to the president to have contracted the virus, traveled with him this week aboard Air Force One. Experts say it can take up to 2 weeks for someone to show syptoms or test positive.

Not Likely
The new House approved $2.2 trillion stimulus plan put forth by Democrats will most likely not get support from right in the Republican led Senate. The House for their part cut over $1 trillion as a sign of compromise. But, the Senate only offered a 1 trillion dollar package largely benefiting businesses. That means there’s still no economic stimulus relief in sight for struggling families and businesses.

Getting Worse
Fires continue to blaze in California with nearly 4 million square miles burnt. That is twice as much as the previous record set in 2018. There is still at least 1 month to go in the fire season in California. The blame does not fall completely on climate change. But, the Federal government has not offered any money for forest management. Most of the fires are on Government land.

Meanwhile, The Atlanta Falcons will use ‘disinfecting drones’ to sanitize the team’s stadium when it welcomes back fans this month. Hopefully not while people are in the stands.

A Little Good News
Diego Aguilera at his first day of work at a local Walmart was being trained by a colleague in his 60’s. After stocking selves they took a break in the break room. There the man clutched his chest and slumped over some boxes. The man said he didn’t “feel well and couldn’t breathe.” Then his face turned white, and he started sweating.
