Tell Me If You Heard This Before
More than half of US states are seeing increases in coronavirus cases. The US is seeing nearly 50,000 new cases per day. Five states, including Montana, New Mexico, North Carolina, Tennessee and Vermont, have recorded a 50% rise in cases over the last week. The one silver lining is that there are better treatments, but the US is still recording more than a 1,000 deaths per day.

Pushing Civil War
Michigan police are on high alert after the threat to kidnap Governor Whitmer. Along with the planned abduction were plans to kill police officers. These right winged and white supremacist groups have long been allowed to fester in the Great Lakes State and they are becoming more and more dangerous. A number of the men arrested were amoung them that stormed the capital earlier this year after President Trump said to “Liberate” Michigan.

Pieces of Venus may be hiding on the moon? Maybe. That is the take away from scientist who thing that Earth and Venus were once awfully similar. In the early days of the developement of our solar system, thing were very much like a billard games with large objects bouncing off of each other. Sometimes causing the debris to end up on other planets and moons.

Not What You Think
Researchers in Canada gave 50 homeless people a lump sum of 7,500 Canadian dollars (nearly $5,700 USD). They followed the cash recipients’ life over 12-18 months and compared their outcomes to that of a control group who didn’t receive the payment.
The preliminary findings, which will be peer-reviewed next year, show that those who received cash were able to find stable housing faster, on average. By comparison, those who didn’t receive cash lagged about 12 months behind in securing more permanent housing.
