Tropical Storm Eta has made its fourth landfall on the northwest coast of Florida. It’s continuing to weaken as it moves north and east, but some areas of Florida and coastal Georgia could still see tropical storm conditions. Before this last landfall it brought heavy rains, flooding and power outages.

Road Blocks
Joe Biden’s incoming team is still waiting as the Trump administration is still refusing to begin the formal transition process. World leaders have been reaching out to the President-elect through official channels, but the State Department is not passing on those messages to the President-elect. In the meantime, Biden named a longtime aide Ron Klain as his chief of staff. Ron serve with Mr. Biden during the Obama adminstration.

Getting Worse
The nation reported more than 144,000 new daily coronavirus cases yesterday, the highest in a single day. It also reported the highest number of deaths in a single day since May. And more people are hospitalized with Covid-19 this week than at any point in the pandemic. America keeps breaking records no one wants broken.

No Truth to the Rumor
Trump Admin lawyers in Pennsylvania had to admit in court yesterday that they had no evidence of voter fraud as the latest of the dozens upon dozens of lawsuits filed around the country have been thrown out for lack of evidence. Although, Georgia is in recount. It looks like Joe Biden flipped 5 states from the 2016 results to become President-elect.

An Actual Live Event
Last night was country music’s biggest night, Eric Church took home the big prize for Entertainer of the year. With a great message in his acceptance speech. Part of what he said was, “Politics are about division; music is about unity.” Amen to that. Congrats to all the winners and to the CMA’s for putting on a great show.
