Looking Forward
Not all the votes have been counted yet, but there are not enough outstanding ballots in any state to change the outcome that Joe Biden will be the next president of the United States and Kamala Harris will be the first women vice president. While there is still an eye on a Senate seat in Alaska, most attention is on two Senate seats in Georgia that will be decided on January 5th with a run off.

Just Die Already
Tropical Storm Eta hit Honduras and Nicaragua as a Hurricane, then moved back northeast as a tropical depression. Crossed Cuba as a tropical storm. Dropped a lot of rain on the Florida Keys and is now making its way back into the gulf where it is expected to turn back into a Hurricane. At that point it is not exactly clear were it will go, but many models have it on a track that will take it northeast and make landfall north of Tampa Bay.

Hope for a Vaccine
The drug company Pfizer said today that early analysis shows its vaccine candidate for Covid-19 is more than 90 percent effective at preventing infection. The breakthrough does not mean a vaccine will be immediately available. Pfizer said that it intends to apply to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for emergency use authorization at the end of November. The company said that it has been producing batches of the vaccine in hopes of success and should have 50 million 2 part doses ready for worldwide distribution by the end of the year, if they get authorization.

He Will be Missed
Alex Tribek, the beloved host of Jeopardy passed this weekend at the age of 80 due to complications of pancreatic cancer. He did, however, prerecord enough shows that the final airing with him as host will be on Christmas day. Sony Pictures Television has announced. His final day in the studio was Oct. 29 — just 10 days before his death.

Fireworks light up the sky over the Chase Center in Wilmington, Delaware after president-elect Joe Biden urged unity and promised “a new day for America” in his first national address since winning the US election. But, how about thoses fireworks. How did they write, Biden, 46 and a map of the United States and other stuff in the sky. They did it with synchronized drones.
