Everyone in the US who wants a Covid-19 vaccine will be able to get one by June, according to an official with the White House vaccine initiative Operation Warp Speed. Before that happens, a vaccine needs to be authorized, and President Trump is asking questions about why the FDA hasn’t given an emergency use authorization to Pfizer’s coronavirus vaccine yet.

More places are locking down as experts fear coronavirus case numbers will continue to rise during the holiday season. Los Angeles County, the biggest county in the US, is now under a stay-at-home order. It’s also World AIDS Day today, a reminder that the coronavirus isn’t the only pandemic threatening lives across the globe.

Don’t expect a second stimulus check this year. While the democratic led House approved the Heroes Act, an ambitious $3 trillion stimulus bill months ago, with a second stimulus check of up to $1,200 for each individual and $1,200 for each dependent the bill has been called “dead on arrival” by Republican Senate leader Mitch McConell. And while Democrats in House cut the package down to just over 1 Trillion McConell is still saying no.

Missing Florida boater was found alive clinging to his capsized vessel 86 miles offshore. 62-year-old Stuart Bee was stranded alone at sea. Bee’s boat became disabled at sea because of a mechanical problem then started taking on water in the middle of the night. After more than 40 hours Bee was rescued by the crew aboard a container ship called appropriately “Angeles.”
