Too little Too Late for Some
For the first time in months there were small signs of a functioning government Wednesday as congressional leaders negotiated a Covid-19 relief package. It is clearly too little too late for thousands of small businesses that have gone under. The latest proposal has a $600 relieve check for working aged Americans as well as $300 for those collecting unemployment.

Pinellas County Among the First
Florida’s nursing homes were some of the first in the country to get the COVID-19 vaccine Wednesday, with at least a dozen visited in Pinellas County. The Florida Department of Health in Pinellas County offered nearly 2,000 Pfizer vaccines to long-term care facilities Wednesday out of their stock of about 10,700 doses.

Fined for too many Women
€90,000 That’s the amount of a fine (about $109,000 USD) Paris must pay because it appointed “too many women” to senior positions. Eleven women and five men were promoted in 2018 at City Hall, breaching a 2013 national rule, which was designed to encourage gender equality in employment. Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo called the fine “absurd.” So has anyone else with a brain.
